Blood pressure, on the other hand, is the force with which a person's blood pushes against the arterial walls.

You can use garlic as well to lower blood pressure, it works great. Drink 8-10 cold glasses of water daily. Drink green tea. Medication won't do it alone, you have to put in the dedication to do it yourself.
Lose extra pounds. Being overweight can also affect your diastolic blood pressure. If you're overweight or obese, resolve to shed extra pounds and maintain a healthy weight. Reduce your calorie intake and eat smaller food portions.
Consider adding vinegar into your diet to help combat high blood pressure.
